Online Shop Returns and Cancellation Policy
Screed Works Ltd warrants that the Goods will be of merchantable quality and will comply with their description, subject to normal trade tolerances. Any claim in respect of the warranty must be notified to the Screed Works Ltd before the Goods are used and in any case within Ten days after delivery.
The Customer assumes responsibility for the Goods being suitable for the purpose for which they are intended.
Screed Works Ltd are under no obligation to accept a return of any goods unless defective (upon delivery) and notified in writing within 24 hours of delivery with photographic dated evidence.
The Customer may not cancel any order if the picking process has commenced and the order had been paid for, unless agreed by Screed Works Ltd in writing.
Any refund will be subject to restocking/collection/re-delivery costs if Screed Works Ltd is required to re-stock, collect or arrange collection of the Goods.
Screed Works Ltd will not accept returns of out of date goods or goods in damaged containers regardless of circumstance. Carriers appointed by Screed Works Ltd have the authority to refuse collections of goods that is unfit for resale or is classified as waste.
Screed Works Ltd will accept and credit authorised returns of incorrect deliveries or faulty goods within the parameters specified.
Screed Works Ltd will seek to reduce returns to a minimum through the use of appropriate commercial measures.
All returns must be inspected and authorised before a collection note is raised and no returns will be accepted without a collection note. If a return does not meet the appropriate conditions Screed Works Ltd reserves the right to charge the Customer the full cost of handling, processing or disposing of the returned goods.
Screed Works Ltd shall not be liable:
- If any problem with the Goods arises from wilful damage, negligence, abnormal working conditions, misuse, alteration or repair of the Goods, failure to follow British Standard or industry instructions relevant to the Goods, or storage of the Goods in unsuitable conditions.
- Unless after discovery of the problem with the Goods, Screed Works Ltd is given a reasonable opportunity to inspect the goods before they are used, or in any way interfered with.
- If problems with the Goods would have been apparent on a reasonable inspection in accordance with these terms at the time of unloading.
- If the problem with the Goods is discovered within 28 days from the date of delivery, unless the Customer sends written notice of the problem to Screed Works Ltd within 24 hours of the problem(s) being discovered.
- If in any case the problem with the Goods is discovered more than 28 days from the date of delivery; Screed Works Ltds liability for any problems with the Goods will be further limited to such rights against the manufacturer or the third party, who manufactured the Goods.
- The Customer unconditionally, fully and effectively, indemnifies Screed Works Ltd against all loss damages costs on an indemnity basis and expenses awarded against, or incurred by Screed Works Ltd in connection with, or paid, or agreed to be paid by if in settlement of any claim by a third party arising from the supply or use of the Goods. The indemnity will be reduced in proportion to the extent that such loss, damage, costs and expenses are due to Screed Works Ltds negligence.
- Except as set out in these Conditions, all warranties, conditions and other terms implied by statute or common law are, to the fullest extent permitted by law, excluded from the Contract.
