Delivery Policy
Fees
- Screed Works Ltd offers FREE DELIVERY for all orders over £600 (ex. VAT) or orders with total weight over 3000Kg.
- Minimum fee is £29 (inc. VAT). Some items may incur the maximum fee of £62.40 (inc. VAT) so please use the basket to calculate your order.
- Weekend and Next day delivery service can be made upon request (please phone us before 11am). Cost will be quoted at time of order.
Terms and Conditions
Delivery of Goods shall be made by Screed Works Ltd (or allocated Supplier) delivered to the place of delivery agreed between Screed Works Ltd and the Customer or if no such place is agreed, to the buyers place of business. All delivery instructions are to be made in writing at the time of purchase.
Screed Works Ltd will use all reasonable endeavours to keep to agreed delivery dates which are quoted on the basis of existing commitments, but will not be liable for delay in delivery however caused.
If the Goods are supplied with packing materials or crates, these are non-returnable and disposal is the Customers responsibility.
Screed Works Ltd shall not be liable for loss or damage to Goods during transit unless Screed Works Ltd is notified of defective goods (upon delivery) and notified in writing within 24 Hours of delivery with photographic dated evidence.
No claim will be eligible for any compensation without being signed for as damaged, upon delivery at the agreed place of delivery.
Screed Works Ltd shall not be liable for the re-delivery of the Goods where the Customer is not present to sign for or accept delivery. Re-delivery or depot collection costs shall be borne by the Customer.
Delivery of Goods will be deemed complete once the Goods arrive at the Delivery Location.
Any dates quoted for delivery are approximate only and the time of delivery is not of the essence. Timed services can depend upon the delivery postcode. Screed Works Ltd shall not be liable for any delay in the delivery of the Goods that is caused by a Force Majeure Event or the Customers failure to provide Screed Works Ltd with adequate delivery instructions or any other instructions that are relevant to the supply of the Goods.
If Screed Works Ltd fails to deliver the Goods as agreed, then its liability shall be limited as per the above.
The Customer shall not be entitled to reject the Goods if Screed Works Ltd delivers up to and including 5% more or less than the quantity of Goods ordered.
Screed Works Ltd may deliver the Goods by instalments, which shall be invoiced and paid for separately. Each instalment shall constitute a separate Contract.
Screed Works Ltd may make an additional charge if it incurs further costs or expenses such as (but not limited to):
- Complying with the Customer’s request for delivery outside Screed Works Ltds normal delivery pattern or by trading by instalments
- Orders of small value which are not economical for Screed Works Ltd to deliver free of charge.
If the Goods are to be deposited other than on the Customer’s premises, the Customer shall be responsible for compliance with all regulations and for all steps which need to be taken for the protection at all times of persons and property.
