Ardex R5E Rapid-Curing Moisture Tolerant Epoxy Primer, 6kg

Screed Works Ltd specialise in installing Residential and Commercial, rapid hardening floor screeds and hard Wearing Industrial Floor Systems such as Ardex K80 and Ardex SD-TB. For rapid priming and bonding these screeds and other appropriate ARDEX cement-based products, Screed Works use ARDEX R 5 E Fast Cure Epoxy Primer.

ARDEX R 5 E is a two-component, solvent-free epoxy resin, used on sound substrates where a faster cure is required, prior to the installation of polyurethane screeds and self-smoothing epoxy floor coatings. With its 4 hour Rapid cure, ARDEX R 5 E enables the fast application of ARDEX Levelling and Smoothing Compounds such as Arditex NA and Arditex CL.

Where a screed is very smooth or an application greater than 6mm of ARDEX Smoothing Compound is required ARDEX R5E is used with a sand keyed finish using ARDEX Fine Aggregate on to ARDEX DPM1C, or a bonded ARDEX Screed greater than 50mm.

NOTE* Where surfaces are very porous, more than one coat of primer may be required to achieve the desired bonding efficiency. For applications on new concrete or where the relative humidity (RH) of the substrate is in excess of 75%, ARDEX DPM1C should be used.

STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE

Store in dry conditions. ARDEX R5E Solvent Free Epoxy Primer has a storage life of not less than 12 months in the original unopened containers. Use of the product after the end of the declared storage period may increase the risk of allergic reaction.
